CU Medical Systems, Inc.
Group-based AI training and ChatGPT rollout at CU Medical Systems
About the program
At a company that builds defibrillators, the R&D center and everyone else cannot need the same things from AI. Researchers work with papers and technical documents; the other teams spend their time on reports and administration. So we split the staff into three groups — R&D, non-R&D, and online — and ran four sessions for each with different content. The R&D group focused on writing papers and technical reports; the non-R&D group covered a wider range, from office automation to slide decks. Even the document types we worked with reflected the medical device industry. For people on shift work or unable to attend in person, we opened a separate online track, and assigned a different instructor to each group's subject. After the training we handled ChatGPT plan procurement, so the whole company could start using what they had learned right away.
