About the program

CU Medical Systems is a client we had already worked with on group-based AI training and a ChatGPT rollout. This time the company brought the Claude Team plan into the organization, and we reopened a fundamentals course so the change of tool would not break the flow of work. Because it was a first rollout, the focus was on where and how to use it rather than on listing features. Session one was in-person. It began with each participant self-assessing their current level of AI use, then framed AI literacy as three things: source judgment, prompting, and verification. From there we compared where Claude differs from ChatGPT and Gemini, and practiced calling Claude from inside the document tools people already use, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Session two ran online so that anyone who could not attend in person followed the same material. The practice material came from the company's own work. Participants built material introducing the remote AED management service with Claude, and tried multi-step delegation, breaking one request into stages and handing them over. We also covered why AI agents matter now and what the next tier of tools such as Claude Code and Cowork looks like, so the team left with a direction for after the rollout.

What we ran

A fundamentals course built around the first Claude Team rollout, so every employee could use it in document work right away

How the course was designed

A continuation of the earlier ChatGPT rollout training, structured so the workflow holds even as the tool changes

Where and how to use it, rather than feature tours — practice material drawn from the company's real work

One in-person session and one online session so that every employee could take part

Main components

AI literacy self-assessment

Each participant checks their current level first, then AI literacy is organized into source judgment, prompting, and verification

Claude's strengths and a tool comparison

Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini compared side by side, and how to choose a tool for each kind of work

Inside the document tools you already use

Hands-on practice calling Claude from Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Multi-step delegation practice

Using company material such as an introduction to the remote AED management service, participants break one request into stages and delegate it

AI agents and what comes next

Why AI agents now, and an introduction to extended tools such as Claude Code and Cowork

How it ran

A hybrid format: session one in person, session two live online

Practice material distributed instantly by QR code in each session

Cautions covered

Rules on never entering sensitive information such as patient data or product design documents

Facts in AI answers are checked by the person responsible before use
