AI foundations for the agri-food sector
About the program
AI training that stops at a tour of the tools is forgotten the moment people leave the room. It sticks when they build something from their own work material while they are still there. This four-day, 25-hour foundation course put a hands-on project in the last period of every day. It ran from prompt design and document writing into data analysis and presentation decks, and on the final day participants built a personal chatbot to cut their own repetitive administrative work. Most participants were using generative AI for the first time, so we set the level at foundations and raised the share of practice. The Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence and security rules came early in the schedule, so everyone knew what may and may not go into a prompt before they started.
What we ran
A four-day, 25-hour foundation course with a hands-on project in the last period each day, built from the participant's own work material

Several tools compared side by side, so participants choose by purpose rather than defaulting to one

Understanding generative AI, the Framework Act on Artificial Intelligence and security, the main tools, and generating infographics
[Day 2] Prompting and public sector document writing
Prompt design principles and techniques, writing public sector documents, editing and improving quality, and building presentation decks
[Day 3] Data analysis and evidence-based work
Analyzing and visualizing Excel data, drawing insight from source material, and producing and editing slides
[Day 4] Workflow automation and wrap-up
Building a personal chatbot to cut repetitive administrative work, course review, and completion
Hands-on projects
Turning your own work document into a finished presentation
Producing a report and deck from your own material
How it ran
One PC per participant in the computer lab, weighted toward practice
Network speed and equipment checked before the start to avoid delays during practice
A different instructor per subject, with syllabi finalized in advance
